Tigers live most of their lives in a cage
Kim Robinson, performing animal program co-coordinator with Zoocheck in Toronto, says circus animals lead "hellish" lives. "These lions and tigers live most of the day, seven days a week, 52 weeks a year in a little cage about the size of your average kitchen table," says Robinson. "They have to eat, sleep, urinate and defecate in there," she says. "They have no quality of life at all."
